About the artist

Ron Haake is a fine art photographer, illustrator and printmaker now living in Kailua Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii with his wife, two sons, two dogs, two cats, and parrot. They all embrace the Big Island as their adopted home.

His work celebrates the natural beauty, pattern, lifestyle and history of his adopted home of Hawaii. As a digital photographer and artist, he embraces technology and new media, but prefers to appeal to classic sensibilities and aesthetics by embracing timeless artistic values and styles. Ron’s art is meant not to emulate the past, but to invoke the simple beauty of nature, people and places that trancend time and space.
